Some collections come from trend boards or seasonal color palettes, but this one came straight from my heart.
The inspiration behind The Playa Collection started on a beach in Mexico, nearly 20 years ago. I was 14, on holiday with my family, walking barefoot along the shoreline under a moonlit sky, searching for sand dollars with a boy named Tom, my holiday boyfriend. It was one of those moments where time feels suspended. The air was warm, the ocean was glowing, and the possibilities felt endless (which ended up being true because I married that boy 13 years later!)
That feeling of being young, free, sun-kissed, and completely open to whatever life throws your way has stayed with me. And I wanted to bring it to life in a collection.
The Playa Collection is a celebration of that magic. The pieces are crafted from a dreamy, textured fabric inspired by sand dollars, and every silhouette is designed to transition effortlessly from daytime lounging on the beach to barefoot dancing under the stars.
I always source my fabrics locally in Bali, wandering through the fabric markets and letting the textiles find me. This one didn’t just find me– it shouted at me. I couldn't walk past it. The color, the texture, the drama– it was everything. It felt show-stopping and special, just like how I want every woman to feel in Sette. Effortless yet bold.
More recently, I found myself reliving those same feelings during nights out in Bali with my husband and best friends. No schedule, no shoes, no responsibilities. Just laughter, music, and the kind of dance floors made of sand. That was the energy I chased while designing this collection.
This drop is for the girls who live for the unexpected, who pack a bag full of "just in case" outfits, and who know the best nights are the ones you never saw coming.
