Introducing new, unisex loungewear that is gentle on the planet and designed for your best off-duty life. From hanging around the house to jetting off to exotic destinations, this label holds up in style and comfort. Embodying a ‘country club chic’ vibe, the brand is launching in partnership with Vandelay Hospitality Group’s newest event space for a ‘Kinda Sporty, Kinda Not’’ launch event. The brand is debuting the new line alongside a Drake’s martini tasting menu to celebrate with media and a VIP guest list.
Dallas native, Monica Millington, founded the brand to create those ultimate comfort pieces that you hang onto for years which become a vessel for your most treasured memories, much like her beloved velour tracksuits of the ‘00s. The co-ord collections are made from a natural bamboo blend that is gentle on the planet and gets even better over time.
Sette’s designs emphasize longevity over momentary relevance and play on classic styles and silhouettes that have been loved since the beginning of time and have stuck. With a motto of, ‘kinda sporty, kinda not,’ the brand emphasizes the importance of finding balance, like the balance between luxury and casual, hustling and self-care, snapping a photo and living in the moment, jet-setting and lounging on the couch.
“I started this brand because I was tired of having to accept mediocrity when it comes to clothing. Subpar quality, with below-average comfort with no real mission or purpose has become the norm and I wanted to create something people could be proud to live in,“ said Monica Millington, the Founder and Director of Sette. “Sette came to life because I wanted to make feeling fabulous, effortless- in style, comfort and conscience. Nothing screams ‘I have my life together’ like a matching set.”
Sette creates garments in limited quantities with a mission to create less, better. Made from low-impact materials, and each collection's fabric holds a different sustainability story as a tool to teach their community more about the world of slow fashion and different ways individuals can make an impact. All packaging used has been minimized wherever possible and is fully recyclable. A tree is planted for every garment made through a partnership with OneTreePlanted in Indonesia- a location precious to the founder where the idea for Sette was seeded.
The range features an array of casual, sporty and comfortable looks dropped in two collections: The Sweat Sette Collection and The Towel Boy Collection. The Sweat Sette pieces are the brand’s evergreen collection, an off-white bamboo and cotton blend fabric in a crewneck pullover, sweatpant, tee, short and socks. The Towel Boy capsule collection is crafted in luxurious bamboo and cotton Turkish toweling fabric in a cabana shirt, a tee, a bralette, two styles of shorts and a jogger. These all-season pieces were designed to mix and match and dress up or down for infinite outfit possibilities. All Sette pieces are emblazoned with the brand’s iconic tennis racquet logo embroidery.
The debut collections are launching in limited quantities on August 18 at 7 pm EST at settethelabel.com. Sette Club subscribers will have the ability to pre-order ahead of launch to ensure access to the limited drops.
